Joya Studio Coronavirus Update and Statement

At Joya, the health and safety of our customers, partners and team is our top priority. Given the evolving nature of the coronavirus (COVID-19), I want to share the steps we are taking to service your needs, protect our team and do our part to limit the spread of the virus.

We are adhering to the guidelines and recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and are closely monitoring the evolution of the outbreak. We have advised employees to follow the public health authorities’ guidance regarding hygiene and personal travel and have encouraged employees to work remotely whenever possible.

Our team is aware of the emotional support services provided by the Professional Employer Organization we have engaged, as well as City services like NYC Well.

We have been staggering shifts and maintaining distance and extreme hygiene—and will be closed March 20 - March 29 (at least). Please look for further communication regarding precise timing.

Our flagship storefront at 19 Vanderbilt Avenue in Brooklyn will also be closed March 20 - March 29 (at least), while our e-commerce and digital communications remain open and able to assist.

Business continuity is a significant priority as well. We have been preparing stock levels to deliver the products you need with little delay—as soon as we reopen. We have a continuity and contingency plan that ensures safety, minimizes disruption, and provides a structure for resumption of normal operations and services at the safest and earliest possible time. And we are in constant contact with our suppliers to proactively manage potential issues.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and take actions necessary to keep employees and clients safe. Security, safety and well-being have always been integral to our products, business processes and infrastructure—and always will be. We will learn and adapt to the situation and emerge stronger and more knowledgeable than before.

Please feel free to reach out to me or your usual Joya contact should you have any questions. We value your support and collaboration. Please stay safe, calm and clean.

Sincerely,

Frederick Bouchardy
