Édition (Limited Edition)
A way to celebrate Joya’s many manifestations. We’re committed to rewilding and reimagining ourselves.
A crafted edition of 20. Sourced from clay from upstate New York, each porcelain vessel is one-of-a-kind. Cast by hand at our studio in NYC, each unique decoration is charcoal-stained slip painted inside the mold, inlaid within the natural, and uncolored porcelain. Exquisite black and white vessels, each edition is numbered by hand!
Fragrance Notes:
Top Notes: cedar leaf
Heart: sweet copaiba and gurjun balsams
Drydown: the sheerest amber, oakmoss, vetiver grass, patchouli, amyris and floral musk
Inspired by the Assyrian retelling of the Phoenix rising: “It does not live on seeds and herbs, but on drops of incense, and the sap of the cardamom plant. When it has lived for five centuries, it then builds a nest for itself in the topmost branches of a swaying palm tree, using only its beak and talons. As soon as it has lined it with cassia bark, and smooth spikes of nard, cinnamon fragments and yellow myrrh, it settles on top, and ends its life among the perfumes."

Net Weight: 260 g / 9.2 oz.
Approximate Burn Time: 70 hours
Each porcelain container is made by hand, so inlaid design is meant to vary. Each design is unique, some rims are painted with clear glaze and others are painted with 14k gold.
– Trim wicks to 1/4" before lighting
– Burn candle for no less than 1 hour and no more than 3 hours at a time. This prevents wax tunneling
– Discontinue use when 1/2" of wax remain
Once your candle is finished and the vessel is ready to be repurposed, we recommend using a dry tissue, towel or rag by hand to wipe off any soot (carbon) that may have accumulated on the inside of the container. You should discard this tissue or rag, so using a dish brush is not advisable. After this process—once the soot has been removed—a hand-wash in soapy water to remove last elements of excess should do the trick. For any stubborn pieces of wax remaining, leaving the container in a freezer overnight usually encourages the wax to shrink and ultimately pop out. Metal wick stabilizers should also pop out without issue.
