These sense-memory candles are crafted with complex and rare blends of oils to create unique experiences for the home.

Designed by Frederick Bouchardy and Laura Cunningham and hand crafted at our Joya studio in Brooklyn, NY. This candle collection with custom glassware is an enhanced version of the original range we developed 3 years ago, but with 2 establishments added.

Distinctive scents are inspired by elements of each establishment: menu ingredients, components of architecture and ambiance, regional environments and historical nuances. 

THE SURF CLUB RESTAURANT

Top Notes: green plantain, peach, eucalyptus, angelica root, wild mint, sea foam, cinnamon, lemon and fig leaves.

Heart: orchid, orange blossom, carnation, gardenia, muguet and lotus.

Drydown: coconut and skin musks.

Net Weight:  225g / 7.9 oz.

Approximate Burn Time: 60 hours

Ingredients: soy wax blend, fine fragrance, essential oil, cotton wick.

– Trim wicks to 1/4" before lighting

– Burn candle for no less than 1 hour and no more than 3 hours at a time. This prevents wax tunneling

– Discontinue use when 1/2" of wax remains

Once your candle has served its purpose, we recommend using a dry tissue, towel or rag by hand to wipe off any soot (carbon) that may have accumulated on the inside of the container. You should discard this tissue or rag, so using a dish brush is not advisable. Once the soot has been removed, a hand-wash in soapy water to remove any last elements should do the trick. For any stubborn pieces of wax remaining, leaving the container in a freezer overnight usually encourages the wax to shrink and ultimately pop out—the metal wick tab too.
