Tom Fruin & Joya
"Nightlight"
Back with brand new packaging! Tom Fruin's public artworks elevate common structures to emblematic status. It is especially impossible in New York to not be struck by these luminescent beacons, which is why we asked Tom to develop a scent with us. Originally released in 2019, our first candle with Tom Fruin, called "Nightlight," is a fragrant reimagination of Fruin's vaulted luminescent towers.
Nightlight smells like cold water in oak with other elements from the environment: leaves, stems, fruit and blossom, oak and classic New York artifacts gusto-ed in on a windy night.
Top Notes: apricot, apple blossom and sweetwater...
Heart: chamomile, clover, jasmine, azalea, fig and violet leaves...
Drydown: western cedar, amber and tobacco...
Tom Fruin & Joya 'Nightlight'
While in use, breaks in the design emit patterns of light. The glass container is decorated with 11 color artwork, applied by hand and permanently fused to the vessel via heat transfer at our studio. Sleeve around the box is a craft project just for you: Cut, glue and build your own paper cover for the tower. The box itself is upcycled.
