Geoffrey Young Design "Erba" Limited Edition
Geoffrey is a long-time collaborator and friend of the brand. We have releasedmultiple collections together over the years, always utilizing luxurious raw materials and details, always in opulent, covetable and reusable vessels.
Geoffrey is based in California, and we are in New York. Still, we share many of the same values. Our projects together are labors of love, thoughtful and rare, which makes this newest edition (well over a year in the making) timely, if costly.
We commissioned glass artist Jennifer Morgan of Mill Valley to blow glass and put each piece through a softened broken glass dip process. Each is handmade and signed.
Today, more than ever, the idea of something broken coming (back) together to create balanced beauty feels special.
Our scent is soft and alluring—an inviting take on earth, root and leaf—with special attention paid to rich vetiver grass.
Top Notes: bergamot, basil and ginger root
Heart: bois de rose, sagebrush and violet leaf
Drydown: vetiver, galbanum and moss
Geoffrey Young is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design. Inspiration comes to him from the crash between the simplicity of minimalism and the abundance of the Baroque, chemistry and nature in all its elemental forms.
Jennifer Morgan is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. Inspiration comes to her from the natural organic shapes around us, combining those forms with the magical way light bounces and moves through glass—to manipulate the fluidity of glass and capture a perfect moment.
Geoffrey Young Design "Erba" Limited Edition Candle
Top Notes: bergamot, basil and ginger root
Heart: bois de rose, sagebrush and violet leaf
Drydown: vetiver, galbanum and moss
Net Weight: 500g / 17.6 oz.
Ingredients: soy wax blend, fine fragrance, essential oil, cotton wick.
Approximate Burn Time: 100 hours
– Trim wicks to 1/4" before lighting
– Burn candle for no less than 1 hour and no more than 3 hours at a time. This prevents wax tunneling
– Discontinue use when 1/2" of wax remains
Once your candle is finished and the vessel is ready to be repurposed, we recommend using a dry tissue, towel or rag by hand to wipe off any soot (carbon) that may have accumulated on the inside of the container. You should discard this tissue or rag, so using a dish brush is not advisable. After this process—once the soot has been removed—a hand-wash in soapy water to remove last elements of excess should do the trick. For any stubborn pieces of wax remaining, leaving the container in a freezer overnight usually encourages the wax to shrink and ultimately pop out. Metal wick stabilizers should also pop out without issue.
